About the club

More than a netball club — a netball family.

A maverick thinks and acts independently, often going against the usual expectations. Mavericks was created to give players high-quality coaching, exciting competition and a player-centred environment where every athlete matters — building confidence, resilience and lifelong friendships along the way.

  • Support each other, on and off court
  • Work hard and play with confidence
  • Show courage and embrace challenges
  • Always look to improve

Why families are joining

Coaching they already trust

Mavericks is brand new — but our coaches aren't. Here's why founding families are signing up before we've even started.

Coach Emily worked with my daughter for two seasons at her last club — she's the reason Maya fell in love with netball. The moment we heard Emily was starting Mavericks, we signed up.
Sarah H.Mum of Maya, joining U13
Emily helped my eldest earn a place in a regional squad back in the UK. Having coaching at that level here in Dubai is exactly what we've been waiting for.
Priya N.Parent, joining U15
My girls trained under Coach Katie before — patient, encouraging and brilliant with the little ones. I couldn't recommend the Mavericks coaches more highly.
Lauren M.Mum of two, joining Minis
We've moved clubs twice looking for proper, structured coaching. Knowing the team Emily is bringing together, we're not going anywhere this time.
James T.Dad of twins
As a former county player myself, I know good coaching when I see it. So excited for my daughter to start with Mavericks in August.
Megan D.Ex-county player & parent
After seeing how Emily develops players, I genuinely think Mavericks will become one of the best girls' clubs in the UAE. We're in from day one.
Aisha K.Parent, joining U17

Good to know

Questions, answered

Does my daughter need any experience?+

Not at all. Most of our players are new to netball — our Mini and Developing groups start from the very first pass, and our coaches love bringing new players on.

What ages do you take?+

Girls from U5 to U17, across four stages: Mini Mavericks (U5–U8), Developing (U9–U11), Performance (U12–U14) and Elite (U15+) — each with its own focus and session length.

Where and when is training?+

We train at Kings' School Al Barsha (KSAB) in weekly morning sessions — 07:30 starts from August to October half-term, then 08:00 starts through to May half-term, moving indoors for the summer block. Mini Mavericks sessions run 60 minutes; all other squads train for 90. Your exact day and time are confirmed at registration.

Do you compete?+

Yes — our U5–U11 squads play in the Pro Physique Venture League on Sunday mornings, and U12+ squads compete in Tuesday/Thursday evening fixtures (league at Repton School Dubai, confirmed at season start), plus five tournaments across the UAE through the season.

What does it cost?+

Membership is one all-inclusive fee — AED 3,800 for U5–U8 and AED 3,995 for U9 and up — covering the full kit, weekly coaching, court hire, insurance and all league & tournament entry. Your first taster session is free.

What should she bring to her first session?+

Plenty of water, suitable sports kit and supportive trainers. Jewellery (including earrings) needs to come off — tape isn't permitted — and nails kept short and smooth. Bring a netball if you have one, an ice box for drinks breaks, a cap, and a positive attitude!

When does the club launch?+

Our inaugural season begins in August 2026 — join now as a founding member and help build something special from the very beginning.
